In recent weeks, Grafica Veneta hosted two special in-house book signings with Sara Simoni and Roberto Emanuelli, the authors behind recent releases printed right in our facility. The events gave each writer a rare, firsthand look at the moment their manuscript became a physical book—watching the production process unfold and collecting the very first finished copies.
Grafica Veneta has long invited authors to sign copies inside the printing plant. It is a distinctive opportunity to experience a work in its most tangible form: surrounded by the machinery, among the production lines, through paper, ink, and binding. The result is a direct encounter between creativity and industrial craft, well away from a traditional presentation hall and much closer to the making.
Sara Simoni, Manuale di Magia Oscura per Giovani Spose
Sara Simoni visited the plant to see her new novel, Manuale di Magia Oscura per Giovani Spose, come off the presses. Published by Il Castoro in the Il Castoro Off series, the book was released in May 2026.
Set in Milan between 1818 and 1820, the story follows young Tosca, forced into marriage to settle her family’s debts. The narrative blends social gatherings, secret encounters, unlikely gatherings, and a dangerous magic concealed within a wedding “manual,” mixing historical detail, fantasy, and irony.

Roberto Emanuelli, Scegliti sempre
Roberto Emanuelli chose to sign copies of his novel, Scegliti Sempre, directly at the company where the book was printed. Released by Feltrinelli in the Fluo series on April 28, 2026, the novel centers on Beatrice, a forty-one-year-old woman with a teenage son and a marriage slowly coming apart.
Always Choose Yourself is a story about emotional invisibility, the quiet strength of women who carry on for too long, and an authentic, imperfect, and gradual rebirth. Each autograph was paired with colorful, numbered dedications—small details that make the relationship between writer and reader truly unique.
These events reflect Grafica Veneta’s commitment to honoring the full journey that leads from an editorial idea to its finished form. Welcoming authors into the facility means giving them the chance to witness a book’s birth and to recognize the care and technical precision behind every single title.
