GV Group, 250 million of carbon neutral books. Franceschi: “Investments for sustainability and social”

With an annual production of 250 million books printed with the energy of the sun and wind thanks to the presence of renewable plants that enable carbon neutral certification, Fabio Franceschi president of GV Group summarized the yearly performance and presented to the press the next challenges in international markets.

The Italian printing company Grafica Veneta and the American Lake Book, acquired in 2021, achieved a turnover of 200 million in a zero-impact production regime.

Research and innovation are constantly driving the Paduan entrepreneur who has always invested in the direction of the green economy, installing photovoltaic panels on the Italian plant roof that equal the extension of 33 football pitches and choosing recycling raw materials more than ten years ago. Lastly, the investment of 50 million euros to improve our ESG report with the introduction of new machineries that allow the use of vegetable inks, the reduction of paper waste by 15-20%, the increase in automation with less manual operations to promote equal gender opportunities. However, the focus remains on the personnel well-being that, despite challenging production volumes, can improve their work life balance thanks to these new investments. New equipment leads to additional capacity that allows better shifts planning and eventually more family time for our staff.
